Hello and welcome to the March edition of Dilara's Beauty Hall of Fame.
For those of you unfamiliar with this genre, this is where I honor those beauty products that have stuck with me through the good, bad and the ugly.
Today we honor this amazing wonderful wonder of a product called....Diamond Strength Diamond FLASH top coat from Sally Hansen.
It is the best thing that happened to busy working women.
Personally, I get super annoyed if my nails aren't pretty. Seriously, I can't focus, I try to type on the computer and all I can see is ugly nails. I need them to be all gelly and shiny and pretty. You know what I mean.
Also, when it comes to beauty, I'm not the DIY kinda gal. I have my personal entourage of hair, skin, face, lips, nails, and other body part enhancing experts that keep me at my best.
However, I also have a very self-packed agenda. I love what I do, and I have a million self initiated projects that I'm really into. So I don't always feel like revolving my schedule around my manicure, or spending 2 hours of my day just to get my nails done. Seriously, the nail salon and their appointments! No, YOU make an appointment with ME. I remember getting major attitude for being 15 mins late....BITCH SHUT UP AND DO MY NAILS. Anyways, women like you know that sometimes we chose to use our time on helping the world refugee crisis, or figuring out what kind of drugs Rumi was on to come up with all that cool shit.
Having stated my challenge of internal conflict between always having delicious nails and a craving for something deeper in life, you see my problem, right?
This product has really changed my life.
MIRACLE IN A BOTTLE!!!!!!!
All you need is 1.clean nails 2. ONE coat of a good nail polish and 3. one coat of this MAGIC chemical. You can have a salon looking manicure in a few minutes, at your desk, dry in a few minutes. No bumbs or annoying impressions ruining the glossyness of your candy nails. If your nails are short and you are careful, your polish will be shiny and won't chip for up to a week.
It is important what kind of polish you wear under it.
There are only 2 types of polish I use at home. Sally Hansen Complete Manicure or OPI.
Sally Hansen complete salon manicure is the only color that you can buy in the pharmacy that has amazing coverage and pigmentation. Below is my favorite red of all times, RED MY LIPS. It has a blue undertone, so looks really nice on pale white people like me. The quality of this polish is actually better than Essie or some professional kinds u can buy. I don't even want to discuss 'designer' polish because that's just bullshit. Brands like Dior, Chanel or Louboutin are not beauty companies, they are fashion companies and don't have the expertise to make nail polish.
Sally Hansen, please don't discontinue this product, because it will cause a serious crisis in my life.
Forever in my heart, DIAMOND FLASH TOP COAT.
