Hello, and welcome to the Feb edition of Dilara's Beauty Hall of Shame.
You know that I'm a beauty junkie, kind of vain and shallow and obsessed by outer appearance. Yes, I do judge books by their cover.
As you guessed by the name, this is a place where we shame beauty products which I personally hated.
This month, we are shaming the NYX fat eye liner. LOL, no, not because I'm into shaming fat things. The product in question is below:
I am a big fan of the NYX makeup range. When it comes to eye liners, I love to use the 'fat' ones because for normal people like you and me, who don't have that much time and are not professional artists, it helps with control while gliding it on to your eye lid.
I usually buy this type of product from L'Oreal Paris, but this time I decided to give the NYX one a try, since I really like the brand.
Big mistake, I know I shouldn't have trusted anything that's 'super fat'.
The felt tip is really hard and stiff, making it difficult to control. The color that comes out of it is not luminous black, but some sort of faded brown. I tried to use it many times and finally tossed it into the trash. I won't be buying this again!
My usual choice is the Infallible Blackbuster liner from L'Oreal Paris. The jumbo marker tip gives you total control, delivering a smooth, mistake-proof application every time. I just love it! Makes my eyes all .... fluttery.....in just one stroke. And it's so easy to keep them looking even! Here is a picture of my favorite baby below:
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Our blog is curated by a long time beauty industry veteran, Dilara Dzafic. For 15 years she worked with the biggest names in beauty, from creating the ads you are watching on TV to developing the products in your purse. So yes, she knows a thing or two about beauty. WE DO NOT ACCEPT FREE SAMPLES, PR PACKAGES, WE DON'T DO PRODUCT ENDORSEMENTS, WE WON'T ATTEND ANY EVENT OR LAUNCH PARTY, OR DO ANY TYPE OF COLLABORATIONS WITH BEAUTY BRANDS. We buy all the products we write about at our own expense. We choose what to write about, what to say, and are in no way pressured by brands that gave us free shit. So, if we say we like something, we really do. So, if you are a brand making false claims, beware!!!! You will find yourself in DILARA'S BEAUTY HALL OF SHAME.
